Creating a modern logo

Designing a modern logo that will appeal to your audience.

Simple logos are today’s trend. Most people take a company seriously when they see a logo that is modern and stands out. This logo tutorial will be mostly aimed at a company targeting younger audiences as the logo uses modern trends such as paint being thrown on the text.

Requirements

  • Windows or Mac

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 or Above

  • Internet

Step 1 - Canvas

 

Start by opening Photoshop. Then enter a width of 3431 and a height of 1548.

Step 2 - Background

1) Unlock the background layer.

2) Select the            icon.

3) Select colour overlay.

4) Select the colour

Step 3 - Font

Axis Font.png

2) With the font centered in the middle write the name of your logo:

Font type: Axis Extrabold

Font colour: Dark Blue = 020481

Font Size: 415

Step 4 - Splashing Effect

2) Drag and drop the splashing image in front of the text:

3) Open the transform command using 

Control + t on Windows or Command + t on Mac

Then make the Width 260.31% and the Height 260.31%

4) Click the letter M on your keyboard. Then right click on the splashing image and choose copy.

5) Now delete the original black splashing layer

6) Select the           icon and choose colour overlay (FFA601). Now change the colour to match the background.
